Ambulance Camper Built From Recycled Materials

April 23, 2023

Enough demolition already, get on with the build.

That’s how we all felt about our last few vlogs showing nothing but demolition. But trust us, it was even longer in real life than it was in the videos.

In this video, we’re FINALLY ready to start building out the inside of our ambulance camper. The theme for this build was BUDGET, so we went out of our way to ensure we were using old scrap or recycled materials everywhere possible.

Budget Ambulance Camper Build

Seriously, we even traveled 30 minutes away to score some free shipping pallets because it was still cheaper than buying hardwood from the store. We were careful about our use of material though. For example, we Googled, “How To Know If A Pallet Is Safe To Use” before pulling the pallets apart and using them to build our bed.

Most of the recycled material actually came out of the ambulance demolition, hence why it took so long as we tried to preserve as much as possible for future usage. Other materials came from our past boat projects. Hey, we got crafty and we love that pieces of our past travels and adventures can be incorporated with our new travel and adventures.

To Be Continued…

This video actually started to get a little long, so stay tuned next weekend for the continuation of the first stages of our DIY ambulance build. Thanks for tagging along!
